Wildflower Press has been a dream within a dream for years. I’ve always loved reading and the way it could take me from a little town in Iowa to faraway kingdoms (Camelot being my favorite) with the simple turn of a page.
Reading has been my magic for as long as I can remember; it taught me to have compassion and hope for the broken world surrounding me. It reminded me that the pursuit of a brighter (and kinder) future would never be futile as long as there were people willing to fight for it.
I believe stories fuel our will to fight for a world where peace and joy reign, and that we, the readers and dreamers, have an obligation to share our most precious stories with the world.
So I guess it’s really surprise that I find myself here – with you.
When I’m not reading/reviewing books, you can find me:
- Snuggling with my favorite mini-humans (i.e. children)
- Trying (and failing) to get my cat to exercise (it’s for your own good, Waffles)
You might also find me:
- Pattering away on my keyboard attempting to write the kinds of stories that inspired me. (i.e. a real, live, book of my own).
I hope the words of this blog are life-giving for you (or at the very least, entertaining). You could be reading a million things right now, but instead, you’re here. Please know that I put incredible care into the characters laid before you.
When you feel lost in the world,
When you feel helpless against your enemies,
When you feel forgotten by the One who made you,
YOU have the power to make others believe in love, in light, and a brighter tomorrow, and you are not alone in this pursuit.
Since it is so likely that children will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage.
